SSS - STAMPtember + Altenew = Graceful Blooms

 Hello dear friends,

Is there a flower you love so much that you don’t want to enjoy it only during spring and summer, but you want to see it all year long, even through autumn and winter?

For me, that flower is the Hydrangea. And for the love of Hydrangeas, my heart wanted to see how these beautiful blooms would look dressed in warm autumn colours. So, instead of reaching for the traditional blues, pinks, and purples, I gave this hydrangea a rich and unexpected seasonal makeover!

I am still pinching myself because I received the absolutely gorgeous Graceful Blooms Stamp and Die Set, the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® exclusive collaboration with Altenew! It is such a beautiful floral set and I feel incredibly honoured and excited to create with it.

For my card, I decided to take a slightly non-traditional path. Instead of reaching for the soft blues, pinks, and purples we often associate with hydrangeas, I chose a rich, autumn-inspired colour palette. The warm peachy-orange blooms, deep green foliage, touches of gold and bold Açaí Berry Cardstock gave the hydrangea a completely different personality, proof that we really can enjoy hydrangeas all year long!

To complete the card, I brought out a much-loved older Simon Says Stamp set from my collection, Big Greetings(retired now) and heat-embossed the birthday sentiment in gold. I love revisiting old favourites and giving them a fresh new look alongside newly released products.

The deep berry background, warm florals and golden accents came together beautifully and I absolutely love how this autumnal hydrangea card turned out. I hope you like it too and perhaps it inspires you to try an unexpected seasonal colour combination with your favourite flowers!
