I’m SO excited to finally share this with you that I’m Altenew’s Guest Designer for September!
You know that feeling when you get an opportunity that makes you stop for a moment and think, “Wait… is this really happening?” That’s exactly how I felt when I was invited to create with the September release. And let me tell you, I had an absolute blast!
Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing the different cards I created with this gorgeous release and I cannot wait for you to see them all. If you’re too impatient to wait for them one by one (I completely understand!

For my first card, I wanted to celebrate something very close to my heart, the Indian festive season. Marigolds are such an integral part of our celebrations. We use them to decorate our homes, doors and entrances, and they instantly bring that feeling of festivity and auspiciousness.
So, naturally, I had to start with the beautiful Craft-A-Flower: Marigold! 
I paired the layered marigolds with the Heirloom Filigree Oval 3D Embossing Folder, creating what almost looks like a little doorway. I imagined the marigolds spilling over an embellished entrance, just like the floral decorations you see adorning homes during celebrations in India.
It felt like the perfect way to combine this beautiful new release with a little bit of my own culture and the festive season that is just around the corner.
