TO - Hydrangeas and Butterfly

 Hello dear friends,

There's a new challenge up at Time Out challenges

Hydrangea card with altenew swallowtail butterfly die, ishani, quillish

and we want you to be inspired by Mother Nature

Our wonderful sponsor, Lawn Fawn generously offering a $25 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

For this theme - Mother Nature I knew exactly what I wanted to make!
We had our summer vacation in Kasauli, a small town in the Himalayas this year and while I loved everything about the trip, the cool weather... the pine tree and finally getting a break from the Delhi heat, my favourite part was seeing hydrangeas everywhere. I've always loved this flower, but they just don't grow where I live. In Kasauli, they were in people's gardens, along the roadsides... I just couldn't stop looking at them! By the end of the trip, I knew I had to make a hydrangea card to remind me of such a lovely holiday.

So this is my little paper version of that memory. I used the Altenew's Pop - it Hydrangea stamp and die set along with the beautiful Swallowtail Butterfly to create this card. The purple, pink and blue blooms instantly take me back to those peaceful walks through Kasauli.

I'll also be teaching this card in my Altenew Educator Workshop on 12th September at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. I'd love for you to join me, whether you'd like to craft along or simply watch the class. Along with the techniques, I'll also share some simple design ideas that help you get more out of the supplies you already have, so you can confidently create your own card designs.
