One of my favorite challenges in cardmaking is finding new ways to get more from a single product. And today I challenged myself with Altenew's Arabesque Medallion Set
For today's collection of cards, I used the Altenew Arabesque Medallion Stamp Set, Dies, Stencils, and Embossing Folder to create cards for a variety of occasions, including Eid, Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, New Year, and everyday celebrations.
What I love most about this medallion design is its versatility. With a few changes in color, technique, and sentiment, the same motif can take on a completely different look and feel. For these cards, I explored several techniques, including faux stained glass effects, dry embossing with die cuts, ink blending, and tone-on-tone monochromatic designs.
From elegant metallic holiday cards to bright and colorful celebration cards, this collection demonstrates how a single design can inspire endless creative possibilities. It's a wonderful reminder that we don't always need more supplies—sometimes we just need to look at what we already have with fresh eyes.
I hope these cards inspire you to stretch your supplies and discover new ways to use your favorite stamps, dies, and embossing folders. After all, one medallion can lead to many occasions and endless cards!
