Watercolor Daydreams with Altenew Watercolors - Instagram reel Hop

Hello friends,

Ever get lost watching watercolor bloom on paper? This project is one of those slow, dreamy moments where pigment, water and texture do all the talking.

For this piece, I used Altenew Cold-Pressed Watercolor Paper..my go-to when I want the paint to move naturally and create those soft, organic blends. The texture gives watercolor the freedom to surprise you (in the best way).

I colored the Pop-It-Up Blooming Hydrangea using the Altenew Artist Watercolor 24-Pan Set, starting with light washes and slowly building depth layer by layer. Hydrangeas are perfect for this approach each petal gets to shine while still feeling part of the whole bloom.

To finish, I added a few Smoky Quartz gems for subtle sparkle, because watercolor dreams always deserve a little light-catching magic ✨
