Who doesn't love butterflies? Altenew's Swallow tail butterfly die set has butterfies in 3 orientations - that makes it so verastile! I chose the Sun kissed blooms Embossing folder and stenci set.. and actually skipped stenciling. I used some light watercolors foe a wash on my flowers, after dry embossing a water color paper. After the watercolors dries, I ran it again through the folder to pop the flowers a little more.

This is lovely! What a gorgeous butterfly - love the dimension of the layering and your embossed background panel is stunning! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning card Ishani! I love the soft shading on that beautiful tropical embossed background. Just perfect for that wonderful butterfly to take centre stage! I just love it! Enjoy your weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful elements and card, Ishani! Dry embossing is my favorite card element and is the reason I bought my first die cutting machine many years ago. Beautiful watercoloring!
ReplyDeleteI love 3D embossing folders and now with the matching stencils they are even better! This is so pretty and the birthday die is wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteWatercoloring the embossed panel turned out beautifully, Ishani, and gave the lovely butterfly a wonderful place to land.
ReplyDeleteIshani, I love all this gorgeous detail. I also love that you used soft, subtle colors for the background and then the stronger colors for that fabulous butterfly and sentiment. The white frame around your embossed panel helps to focus the eye on your beautiful composition.
